Summer gets so busy, I haven't managed to write a post in so long! So much to share with you though, lots of fun, laughter and memories. During these summer months I spent two weeks on holiday with my family in Norfolk. Norfolk is such a beautiful part of the county. It has a stunning coastline, pretty villages and towns and lots more to see and do. As a family we love the place and have been on holiday there lots! I personally love walking along the beach taking photos and watching the boys skim stones. I also love exploring little villages and towns and discovering cute little shops. I ended up buying myself quite a few treats and presents during the two weeks!
I won't share everything we did with you but I will give you a run through my top five things to do In Norfolk. (Narrowing it down to five was tough!)
1. When in Norfolk you HAVE to visit the broads. They are so beautiful. I would recommend Horning as top stop for a wander or maybe a picnic by the water. Horning is right on the banks of the broads and is full of pretty houses and thatched cottages but if that isn't for you there is a pub where you can still out by the water and soak in the atmosphere of the place. Also... (Sorry, rambling already) if you can I would recommend hiring a boat for a day or a few hours to explore more of the broads. So much to see and enjoy.
2. Sherringham. I love sherringham! I probably love it because of the amazing shops. The high street is full of cute shops with pretty things, I could spend hours wandering around them but there is so much more to it. Beautiful beach, steam train trips, traditional sweet shop.. The list goes on!! When in (north) Norfolk pay sherringham a visit.
3. Get fish and chips in Cromer. The No1 fish and chip shop in Cromer is the best fish and chip shop I've every been to. The food tastes AMAZING. The chips are the perfect combination of fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The only downside to the place is the huges queues, we ended up waiting outside for 50 minutes. Ignoring the queue! Best fish and chip shop. Then you can sit on the beach or on the pier and enjoy the beautiful views.
4. Norwich. Norwich is a lovely historic city with so so so much to see and do. We just visited for an afternoon and that wasn't enough time! The one must in Norwich I would say is you need to visit macarons and more. It is an independent macaron shop opened by an ex master chef runner up. I had a passion fruit and milk chocolate macaron and it was incredible.
5. Stay in a cottage in the country, I'm probably biased about this but we always stay in a cute cottage in the middle of nowhere on holiday and I love it. Signal maybe dodgey and wifi is poor but the views are incredible. Driving back to the cottage at sunset was just beautiful. As a city girl through and through I couldn't cope living in the country all the time but I can appreciate it for two weeks!
